The Alabama Transfers Guide System is continually updated according to the policy decisions made by the members of the AGSC. As a result, the content found on each guide could change or be updated without prior notice. Below you will find a chronological list of changes that have occurred since the Fall of 1998. Please check this page for the latest updates and corrections to the Alabama Transfers Guide System (formerly STARS). If you have a question about a program or if you would like to know the status of a specific program, please contact us.

| November 1, 2023 | Miscellaneous update or revision | The guide for Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management (Troy Only) has been renamed Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management (Troy Only). MTH 110 Finite Mathematics was added as an option in Area III on this guide. Troy has created a standalone Sports Management program that they began to offer in Fall of 2023. We will be working with Troy to create a guide for this program as soon as possible. |

In Area V, CHM 221, PHY 201, MTH 125, and MTH 265 were removed and replaced with CIS 146, MTH 113, HED 224, and 6 SH of electives from Area II-IV that were not already taken. |

| December 7, 2022 | Institution(s) added to a transfer guide | "Public Health (UAB Only)" was renamed to "Public Health". It will now serve students transferring to JSU and UAB. Requirements in Areas I-IV remain unchanged. However, requirements for JSU were added in Area V. |

| August 26, 2022 | Correction to an existing guide | REVISION: The STARS Guide for Athletic Training was removed from the system. It is no longer offered as an undergraduate degree. Student's will now need to complete an undergraduate degree and apply for it as a graduate program. UWA was the last institution to offer it as an undergraduate degree and it has been removed from the STARS system upon their request. |

Auburn University (AU)and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) will accept His 101 & 102. Previously, only UAB was listed as accepting those courses. |

In Area III, the sciences were open up to any of the approved science courses in Area III. In Area V, BUS 271 was removed as a requirement as well as the two PE courses. The elective hours in Area V were adjusted from 3-7 to 3-12 SH. |
| October 25, 2021 | Correction to an existing guide | REVISION: Animal Sciences guide was updated. Since Auburn University is now the only school that offers Animal Sciences, the guide was renamed to Animal Sciences (AU Only). Areas II, IV, and V were updated to reflect Auburn's requirements. |

In Area II, a note was added that ASL 101 and 102 from Area V will be counted as credit in Area II upon tansfer to Troy. A hisory sequence is now required in Area IV. In Area V, notes were added to ASL 101 and 102 about them being counted in Area II upon transfer to Troy. Also in Area V, added ASL 121 as a requirement and removed the 1-3 SH of electives. |
