7. NEW ACCS MATHEMATICS NON-STEM PATHWAY COURSE (MTH 108 - QUANTITATIVE REASONING) - IN PILOT PHASE

   MTH 108 - Quantitative Reasoning

   The Alabama Community College System (ACCS) has created a NEW math course that would provide students in the non-STEM majors another option rather than Finite Math or Precalculus Algebra. MTH 108 has been added to the ACCS Course Directory, but the course is not available to all colleges. Select colleges will be teaching the course as a pilot in the fall to determine cut scores for math placement. The ACCS would welcome feedback from the four-year universities. At some time in the future, this course may come before the AGSC for approval. If approved it would need to be added to all appropriate transfer guides as a math course option in Area III.
